In this specific title, strictly sticking PS3 Controller with the main story will frustrate the player with the frequent cut-scenes and unskippable moments. If you were on the fence about getting this title, go PS3 controller protectors ahead and grab it now. There is downloadable content coming that will keep this game fresh for at least another year from nowI want to keep this brief. Brief because the more I say about this, the more I take away. That is not something that can PS3 console be said about all games, but it applies here. Dishonored is a revenge-themed stealth action/adventure game by Arkane Studios and Bethesda Softworks. It is both familiar and ambitious at the same time. Let’s get right into it…Dishonored is a strange blend of Mirror’s Edge, the Half-Life series, and Assassin’s Creed series. The first because there is a free running element to the game (not to be confused with Parkour, which is expressionistic and non-competitive…free running allows room for a competitive edge to develop). The second because the art director from Half-Life did the art for this game as well. In truth, there are video game accessories enemies in Dishonored that look a LOT like Half-Life enemies. The latter game’s influence comes from the stealth, drawn-out manner and planning of executions.Dishonored takes the gameplay elements from Mirror’s Edge and Assassin’s Creed, building on both. I want to go on record that the main element that made Mirror’s Edge a good game was that it tried to bring in free running. Was it completely successful? I do not think it was, but it would be nice to see Electronic Arts try again. In this critic’s opinion, it means more to make an effort to keep things from getting stale. Dishonored built on the Mirror’s Edge foundation. Running/escape is more…user-friendly. So if Dishonored wanted to make a better free running game, mission accomplished.Did Dishonored want to be a Half-Life clone? No. Dishonored has a problem that is the diametric opposite of Half-Life. There is a narrative term: Linear; specifically, endo-linear and exo-linear.An Endo-linear game has one storyline and does not have much room for exploration. The original Half-Life does not have much in that way, and can be seen as restrictive. An Exo-linear game at somepoint allows the player to explore the entire world around it, and may or may not give much incentive for the player to finish the game. Dishonored is my new ‘poster child’ for exo-linear games. 745TDBanty 130131
Well, this has been a long time coming, and I have to say that L.A. Noire is far from perfect, it is very unique experience and well worth playing.
Superficially, L.A. Noire shares some similarities with last year’s Mafia II, being a post-World War II crime adventure in an open-world area. However, Noire is much more slower paced, leaning much more on the detective side, with minimal action scenarios.
Truly, this is a game about being a detective, thoroughly investigating clues at crime scenes and interrogating witnesses and suspects for information that can help you proceed with the cases you are working on.
Beyond that, there is an overall crime story that slowly pieces together as you work through each individual case, as well as the mysterious back-story of main character you play as, Cole Phelps.
Indeed, Cole Phelps is one of the most memorable video game characters of recent times, superbly voiced by Aaron Staton, in a voice cast showcased of the talent from the television series Mad Men.
I feel the cases within the video game was a bit on the easy side and overall game progression even when you performed badly on resolving a case only provided me with less reason to actually think too hard about getting things right!
So, many hours of gameplay in this, and I also purchases all of the DLC, which provides more cases to be explored and many more hours of gaming. One of the highlights of 2011 and despite some minor flaws, this did not disappoint.

30 Million PS3 Consoles are sold in Europe

“This can be a major milestone for people and clearly shows just how popular the PlayStation brand and items are within Europe plus the PAL territories”, said Jim Ryan, President and CEO of SCEE. “We have been really happy about the prosperity of the PS3 controller system over the last six years, and so are devoted to continuing our support from the platform with good quality products and titles which can be from the caliber that PlayStation fans have started to expect.”
Sony has reached a milestone rolling around in its European and PAL markets. It was able to sell over 30 million units on the PS3 console since its launch in 2007.
This figure was reached by 17th December 2012. Unlike in Japan and America, the PS3 has been available since March 2007 as an alternative to November 2006.
Many gamers are surprised by this result. But that is a truth. Therefore, just congratulations on Sony.
